Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

To demonstrate a clear knowledge of key current debates about the politics, culture and economics of the Middle East
2.
Understand the role played by Middle Eastern states in the shaping of our contemporary world
3.
Critically analyse the main actors in Middle Eastern politics including states, organizations, and non-state groups as well as alternative actors and issues.
4.
To have a critical understanding of the history and politics of Israel-Palestine.
